Who we are
Samix Technology is a consulting and software development company based in Saint-Cyprien, in the south of France. Our specialty is Microsoft SQL Server databases, from one-off audits to long-term administration. Our SQL Server consultants work fully remote with companies in France and abroad, and travel for kickoffs, workshops and critical cutovers.
Our clients are software vendors, agri-food groups and financial services companies, in France and internationally. We work in English or French, which keeps things simple when your software vendor or part of your team is based in another country.
How we work
- Measure before making claims. Every recommendation is backed by numbers taken from your servers, which your team can check.
- Never put production at risk. Read-only data collection, and changes that are tested, reversible and scheduled with you.
- Make your team self-sufficient. Commented scripts, written procedures, explanations in plain English. Our goal is not to make you depend on us.
- Say things plainly. If a problem does not come from the database, we tell you, even if it means less work for us.
Our tooling
We built AutoDBA, a SQL Server diagnostic engine that applies 41 deterministic rules to the configuration, indexes, wait statistics and lifecycle of each instance, including end-of-support exposure. It makes our audits faster and more thorough: the machine never tires of checking the things people end up overlooking, and the DBA brings the context the machine does not have.
